Spartans5 Beats Joaquin 2, Tacks On 3rd Consecutive Win
A rally on Sunday Night Football (38.10 points, 37% of their total score) wasn't enough for Joaquin 2, as Spartans5 earned the 109.44 to 101.68 victory. The late-match efforts were somewhat unexpected, considering their original Sunday night projection was only 29.58 points. Spartans5 was led by Saquon Barkley (147 Rsh Yds, 1 2PT, 2 TD). Barkley scored two touchdowns and added 33.60 points to the cause. Joaquin 2 (0-3, 295.40 points) drops to last place, while Spartans5 (3-0, 374.88 points) remains in first place.
J.K. Dobbins had plenty of chances for Spartans5, but he logged just 54 total yards on 18 touches. There are a couple of spots where Joaquin 2 really made a painful call, as Drake London could have started in place of either Davante Adams or Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Either of those point differentials would have changed the outcome.
Next week, Spartans5 gets Go Pack Go (1-2, 308.52), while Joaquin 2 matches up against Elks (2-1, 338.24).
