With the three-headed monster of Baker Mayfield, Trey McBride, and Bijan Robinson leading the charge, Bijan Mustard dismantled BT Cardinals 179.16 to 114.38. That threesome combined to tally 89.66 points, clearly outperforming the top scorers from BT Cardinals (Ladd McConkey, Brian Thomas Jr., and George Kittle), who totaled 72.50 points. Mayfield passed for five touchdowns, adding 34.56 points (359 Pas Yds, 5 TD). Robinson came through with two touchdowns to contribute 24.80 points (90 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), while McBride pitched in 30.30 points (123 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Bijan Mustard took a 27.80-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. Bijan Mustard gets revenge for a Week 10 tight loss (121.78 to 116.94) and improves to 2-1 this season against BT Cardinals. Bijan Mustard, already one of the highest-scoring teams in the league this season, beat their 120.72 per game average by 48%.
For the winners, a few players have been late-season stars, most notably Deebo Samuel Sr. and the Kansas City Chiefs DEF. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 78% and 58%, respectively. Conversely, Bijan Mustard has a player moving in the wrong direction. Khalil Shakir has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average in the postseason by 59%. Despite the loss, BT Cardinals also had several players performing their best in the playoffs, including McConkey and Jr. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 22.05 and 26.05 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 70% and 61%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 13.01 points on the season, Rachaad White mustered just 7.70 per game in the playoffs.
Bijan Mustard wrapped up the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly better (fifth with 115.73).
