      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

DarStars Steals One from BayArea to Get into Championship

DarStars remains unbeaten against BayArea this season after yet another win, this time by a final score of 149.46 to 133.22. They go to 13-3, while BayArea drops to 9-7. Saquon Barkley rushed for 150 yards and was the difference this week, garnering 27.00 points. Barkley has turned out to be a nice second-round selection for DarStars, producing a stellar 22.43 points per game. This is the closest win for DarStars in three head-to-head matchups. They beat BayArea 140.90 to 104.50 in Week 10 and again 138.08 to 103.46 in Week 1.

For the winning team, several players have been getting hot at the right time, including Jerome Ford and Puka Nacua. Over the past four games, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 87% and 86%, respectively. Despite the loss, BayArea had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: Mike Evans and James Conner. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 21.38 and 22.68 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 65% and 41%. On the other hand, the losers had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: Cole Kmet and Tony Pollard.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when DarStars faces No. 3-seeded Football is back. Football is back is in the midst of a six-game winning streak. BayArea wrapped up the regular season in fourth place with a record of 9-6. Perhaps benefiting from some good fortune, they ranked just seventh in the league in scoring average at 110.46 points per game. BayArea was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
