      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Football is back Picks Up Victory over Hubcity, Moves on to Championship

Football is back put up the highest point total of their season and got past Hubcity 147.94 to 136.88. Football is back gets revenge for a Week 10 loss (118.68 to 111.98) and improves to 1-2 this season against Hubcity. Brian Thomas Jr. led Hubcity with 28.20 points (132 Rec Yds, 1 TD) while Jahmyr Gibbs racked up 25.40 (109 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 TD).

For the winners, two players have been peaking at the right time: the Atlanta Falcons DEF and Jonathan Taylor. Over the past four weeks, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 176% and 62%, respectively. On the other hand, Football is back has a player trending the opposite way. Breece Hall has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Hubcity also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Russell Wilson and Jr. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 16.67 and 24.00 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 82% and 57%.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Football is back faces top-seeded DarStars. DarStars is the league's top-scoring team this year, averaging 149.98 points per game. Hubcity concluded the regular season in second place with a record of 12-3. They also ranked second in the league with 132.20 points per game. Hubcity was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They dished out their fair share of big losses this year, as they racked up four blowout victories on the season.
