      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Chris Picks Up Victory over The Coomb Raiders to Get Shot at Consolation Championship

Chris beat The Coomb Raiders 153.04 to 114.70 and logged the second-highest point total in the league this week. Chris goes to 1-2 this season against The Coomb Raiders, avenging a Week 12 loss (117.08 to 103.06) the last time the teams met. Jonathan Taylor brought in the highest score in the league this week with 39.80 points (218 Rsh Yds, 3 TD) for The Coomb Raiders.

There was one starter on The Coomb Raiders that missed out on some opportunities. Even though DK Metcalf saw a total of seven targets, he reeled in just three catches.

For the winners, several players have been hitting their strides at the right time, including Puka Nacua and Mike Evans. Over the past four games, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 86% and 65%, respectively. On the other hand, Chris has a player trending in the wrong direction. The Minnesota Vikings DEF has fallen well beneath their year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, The Coomb Raiders also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Taylor and Tua Tagovailoa. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 17.68 and 16.27 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 62% and 35%. Conversely, the losers had two players who were fading down the stretch: Breece Hall and Cooper Kupp.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Chris battles top-seeded Balls Deep. These teams most recently battled in Week 9, with Chris winning, 125.70 to 99.10. The Coomb Raiders ended the regular season in seventh place with a record of 7-8. With a scoring average of 110.25, they also placed eighth in the league in that metric. The Coomb Raiders was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
