      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Billy Gets Victory Against Kelsey and Wins League Consolation Championship

Ladd McConkey scored two touchdowns (29.40 points) and Bo Nix threw for three touchdowns (21.86 points) as Billy defeated Kelsey 137.06 to 115.36. Billy took a 62.46-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. Billy goes to 2-1 this season against Kelsey, avenging a Week 11 loss (127.84 to 111.76) the last time the teams met. Baker Mayfield led Kelsey with 34.56 points (359 Pas Yds, 5 TD) while Puka Nacua racked up 22.90 (129 Rec Yds). Adding insult to injury, Kelsey had a starter score zero points (Hunter Henry).

Achane had plenty of opportunities for Kelsey, but could only manage 38 total yards on 12 touches.

For the victorious side, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, including the Buffalo Bills DEF and McConkey. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 73% and 70%, respectively. Conversely, Billy has a player moving in the wrong direction. Joe Mixon has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average in the postseason by 55%. Despite the loss, Kelsey also had several players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably the Philadelphia Eagles DEF and Nacua. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 13.00 and 18.25 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 82% and 49%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 9.69 points on the season, Hunter Henry mustered just 6.95 per game in the playoffs.

Billy ended the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly better (fourth with 118.95). In their only other postseason game along the way to winning the consolation trophy, Billy beat Michael, 155.72 to 126.08. Kelsey wrapped up the regular season in fifth place with a record of 8-7. They also ranked fifth in the league with 116.56 points per game. In their only other postseason game of the season, Kelsey drubbed Chris, 157.32 to 106.58.
