      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Lady Luck Rallies Late to Beat jess333, Takes League Consolation Championship

Lady Luck moves to 2-0 versus jess333 with a 113.08 to 103.28 win. Their overall record goes to 9-8, while jess333 falls to 8-9. jess333 isn't an easy win for Lady Luck, who now has an average margin of victory of 11.99 points this season in the series. That's thinner than their 31.43-point average margin of victory on the season, which ranks third in the league. Bijan Robinson scored two touchdowns and was the key player this week, getting 24.80 points for Lady Luck. Robinson continues to perform like a first-rounder should for Lady Luck, putting up 19.40 points per game. It could have gone the other way had jess333 not had two starters score zero points (Alvin Kamara and Tony Pollard).

De'Von Achane had plenty of chances for Lady Luck, but he logged just 38 total yards on 12 touches. A spot where jess333 wishes they could go back and change the past is wide receiver. Wan'Dale Robinson could have started in place of Cooper Kupp, and that point difference would've changed the outcome.

For the winning team, two players have been getting hot in the playoffs: the Cincinnati Bengals DEF and T.J. Hockenson. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 81% and 72%, respectively. On the other hand, Lady Luck has a player trending the opposite way. Josh Allen has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average in the postseason by 28%. Despite the loss, jess333 had several players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably Jonathan Taylor and Justin Jefferson. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 33.70 and 26.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 163% and 38%. Conversely, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, including Kamara and Pollard.

Lady Luck ended the regular season in seventh place with a record of 7-8. Catching some unlucky breaks, they ranked second in the league in points per game with 128.63. In their only other postseason game on their trail to the consolation title, Lady Luck beat Paladins, 143.96 to 102.32. jess333 finished the regular season in eighth place with a record of 7-8. Better than their record indicated, they ranked fourth in the league in points per game with 124.11. In their only other postseason game of the season, jess333 took down Video game player, 149.78 to 137.50.
