Week 14 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Behind Three Big Performances, Battering Rams Beats Up Monsters of the Midway

Spearheaded by the trio of Bryan Bresee, Brian Burns, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers DEF, Battering Rams overwhelmed Monsters of the Midway 65.00 to 37.00. That threesome combined to score 36.00 points, substantially more than the top scorers from Monsters of the Midway (the San Francisco 49ers DEF, Arnold Ebiketie, and Ernest Jones), who totaled 26.00 points. Bresee (1 Sack) came through with 13.00 points, with Burns (1 Sack) and the Buccaneers D (13 PA, 2 Sack, 1 Int, 1 Fum) chipping in 13.00 and 10.00 points, respectively. With 65.00 points, Battering Rams had the highest total in the league this week. Battering Rams played one starter with zero points while Monsters of the Midway served up four goose eggs, meaning both teams left points off the scoreboard. Battering Rams (4-10, 499.00 points) climbs into ninth place, while Monsters of the Midway (8-6, 653.00 points) drops to fourth place.

Since Bresee was the high scorer for Battering Rams, it means that a different player has now led the team in each of the past six weeks. With 6.00 points, the Saints Defense paced the squad in Week 9, while Brian Burns (7.00 points) was team-leader in Week 10 and Jordyn Brooks (7.00 points) led the way in Week 11. The Buccaneers Defense (10.00 points) was tops in Week 12 and Byron Murphy (12.00 points) led in Week 13. In addition to the fantasy victory, Battering Rams was savvy enough to choose winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Burns was the only one that didn't suit up on a winning NFL team this past week.
