Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Led by Unexpected Star Patrick Mahomes, Jerusalem JewSorcery Gets Win Against New York Empire

With the better-than-expected output from Patrick Mahomes changing the game, Jerusalem JewSorcery got a victory over New York Empire 124.30 to 101.78. The Kansas City QB scored 26.00 points to exceed projections by 26.00, carrying Jerusalem JewSorcery to a 22.52-point win. He passed for 320 yards as part of his unexpected effort (320 Pas Yds, 3 TD).

There was one important starter on Jerusalem JewSorcery that let some chances slip through his hands. Despite being targeted seven times, Terry McLaurin could only reel in one catch.

In addition to the fantasy victory, Jerusalem JewSorcery was savvy enough to pick winners in real football, as well. Among all of their starters, James Conner is the only one whose NFL team lost this week.

For the winners, several players have been postseason stars, most notably Ladd McConkey and Travis Kelce. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 67% and 55%, respectively. On the other hand, Jerusalem JewSorcery has two players trending in the wrong direction. Terry McLaurin and the Minnesota Vikings DEF have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, New York Empire had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, including Malik Nabers and Sam LaPorta. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 17.95 and 11.35 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 90% and 66%. Conversely, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, most notably the San Francisco 49ers DEF and Cooper Kupp.
