Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS Beats Moist Valuable Players for Season Split

James Cook scored two touchdowns (33.60 points) and the Atlanta Falcons DEF added 25.00 points as RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS beat Moist Valuable Players 150.90 to 134.85. RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS took a 15.00-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. This win was revenge for a loss to Moist Valuable Players in their last meeting a season ago. Moist Valuable Players was led by Brock Purdy with 31.25 points (313 Pas Yds, 26 Rsh Yds, 2 TD/1 Int) and Brock Bowers, who scored 20.90 (99 Rec Yds).

There was one player on Moist Valuable Players that let some chances slip through his hands. Despite being targeted seven times, DK Metcalf could manage just three catches.

In addition to the fantasy victory, RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS was savvy enough to select winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Nico Collins is the only one that suited up on a losing NFL team this past week.

For the victors, two players have been late-season stars : the Atlanta D and Cook. During the playoffs, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 271% and 81%, respectively. On the other hand, RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS has a pair of players moving in the wrong direction. Khalil Shakir and Collins have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Moist Valuable Players also had a few players who were cooling off in the playoffs, most notably Cooper Kupp and the Seattle Seahawks DEF. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 2.70 and 3.50 points, respectively, falling short of their season-long marks by 85% and 61%.

Next week, RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS goes up against Major Tuddy. These teams most recently battled in Week 8, with RANDY'S KILLER SLOTHS winning, 143.50 to 114.50.
