      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Bavaria Beavers Beats Eagles, Heads to Consolation Championship

Bavaria Beavers took advantage of 23.70 points from Patrick Mahomes (260 Pas Yds, 33 Rsh Yds, 1 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) and 21.40 from Jahmyr Gibbs (109 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 TD), taking down Eagles 98.20 to 92.64. Bavaria Beavers took a 42.70-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. Bavaria Beavers has played Eagles well lately, improving to 2-1 head-to-head this season, including a Week 11 win (119.42 to 95.64) in their last matchup. Brandon Aubrey led Eagles with 20.00 points while Kyren Williams racked up 18.90 (122 Rsh Yds, 1 TD). With Alvin Kamara delivering zero points for Bavaria Beavers, the gap could have been wider.

Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Eagles, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches.

For the winners, the Kansas City Chiefs DEF is playing their best at the right time. Over the past month, they have outperformed their season scoring average by 51%. Conversely, Bavaria Beavers has a player heading in the opposite direction, as Alvin Kamara has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average recently. Eagles had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: the Detroit Lions DEF and Brian Robinson. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 2.75 and 7.02 points, respectively, falling short of their season-long marks by 63% and 41%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Bavaria Beavers faces top-seeded Marvmagic. Bavaria Beavers has a 1-1 record against Marvmagic this season. Eagles concluded the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-8. They also ranked sixth in the league with 92.18 points per game. Eagles was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
