The Huntsvillain beat Rochester Bears 148.97 to 128.80 to improve their season record to 3-0 against them. They improve to 13-2, while Rochester Bears drops to 6-9. Rochester Bears still cannot manage a victory against The Huntsvillain, who pushed their career unbeaten streak to five games. A force to be reckoned with, Josh Allen (362 Pas Yds, 68 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 2 Rsh TD) picked up 38.87 points this week, although it was a little less than his 49.60 points the last time these teams met. To make matters worse, Rochester Bears got zero points from David Njoku. The Huntsvillain now has a 31.34-point average margin of victory over Rochester Bears in three matchups.
For the victors, Allen is hitting his stride at the right time. Over the past month, he has bettered his season scoring average by 56%. Conversely, The Huntsvillain has a player trending in the wrong direction, as the Minnesota Vikings DEF has fallen significantly short of their year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Rochester Bears had several players peaking for the postseason, most notably the Kansas City Chiefs DEF and Chase Brown. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 8.25 and 22.22 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 58% and 43%.
The Huntsvillain breezed into the playoffs following a consistently dominant regular season. They move on to the semifinals where they go up against No. 5-seeded El ChupacaBrock. These teams most recently battled in Week 9, with The Huntsvillain winning, 166.53 to 113.07. Rochester Bears concluded the regular season in eighth place with a record of 6-8. Better than their record indicated, they ranked fifth in the league in points per game with 118.41. Rochester Bears was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
It was a season-high 125 yards for Robinson this week with 22 carries.
The 9.00 points scored by Elliott this week was good enough to rank ninth among Ks.
With 26.30 points (97 Rsh Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD), Brown tallied the fourth-highest score for a RB this week.
With 362 passing yards and two TDs, Allen has thrown for at least 300 yards and two touchdowns in each of his last two games.
Smith-Njigba made 10 catches for 83 yards, the first time he's had at least 10 catches since he had 10 against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11.
After a solid 2-2 on field goal attempts this week, Boswell has now made two field goals in each of his last two games.
