Final Score 122.60 | 164.17 |
The triple threat of Courtland Sutton, DJ Moore, and Jahmyr Gibbs led the way, as 956RGV defeated Maximum Effort 164.17 to 122.60. That threesome combined to score 81.50 points, topping the production from the top scorers from Maximum Effort (Lamar Jackson, Aaron Jones, and De'Von Achane), who totaled 62.90 points. Sutton scored two touchdowns, accumulating 29.70 points (97 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Gibbs put up two touchdowns to contribute 24.90 points (90 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), while Moore helped out with 26.90 points (106 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Also, Sutton recorded his highest point total of the season. With 164.17 points, 956RGV had the third-highest total in the league this season. 956RGV (7-5, 1,447.83 points) remains in third place. Maximum Effort, despite the loss, clinches a playoff spot this week (second place, 8-4, 1,581.77 points).
There was one player on Maximum Effort who wasn't fully in tune with his QB. Even though Brock Bowers saw a total of 10 targets, he reeled in just four catches.
956RGV was ahead of the curve with their wideouts, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall WRs this week (including Sutton, who was in the top five). Since Sutton was the top point-getter for 956RGV, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four weeks. With 27.50 points, Alvin Kamara paced the squad in Week 9, while Travis Kelce (20.40 points) was tops in Week 10 and Jahmyr Gibbs (19.30 points) in Week 11.
956RGV will face Kerryon My Wayward Son (5-7, 1,429.36) next week. Maximum Effort plays Big Richard Energy (6-6, 1,338.07).
Moore made seven catches for 106 yards and a TD, the first time he's had 100 receiving yards since he had 105 against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5.
Meyers made 10 catches for a season-high 121 yards.
Gibbs had 21 carries for 90 yards and two TDs, giving him a rushing touchdown in each of his last two games.
The 21.40 points scored by Jackson this week was good enough to rank fifth among QBs.
Lamb made 10 catches for 67 yards, the first time he's had at least 10 catches since he had 13 against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.
With 11.00 points, Dicker tallied the eighth-highest score for a K this week.
