Chargers Waxes Bungals, Drops Them into 3rd Place
Chargers took advantage of 48.00 points from Patrick Mahomes (269 Pas Yds, 60 Rsh Yds, 3 TD) to bulldoze Bungals 165.50 to 97.50. Chargers took a 44.00-point lead on Sunday afternoon and held the lead throughout the matchup. While both sides completely surpassed expectations, Chargers put up 65.5% more points than projected (100.00) to pick up the win. Bungals (8-4, 2,038.50 points) drops to third place and Chargers (5-7, 1,724.00 points) remains in 12th place.
J.K. Dobbins probably deserved more touches for Chargers, as he put up a whopping 59 total yards on just nine touches.
Mahomes has now led Chargers in scoring in five straight weeks, and for six of the last eight.
Chargers will be seeking revenge next week against Dem Bucking Broncs (6-6, 1,596.50), a team they lost to in Week 6. Bungals takes on Steel Curtain (8-4, 1,753.50).
