In an epic battle between the first- and third-highest-scoring teams of the week, Bungals beat Steel Curtain 198.00 to 184.50. This is the first time this season a team has scored this many points and not picked up the win. Steel Curtain falls to 8-5 (6th place), pushing their losing streak to four. Bungals (9-4) is in third place and has the highest points per game average at 172.04. Steel Curtain still clinched it's spot in the postseason this week. However, the total number of points was unexpected given that Bungals was only projected to score 121.00 points and Steel Curtain was expected to score 106.00 points. Joe Burrow (309 Pas Yds, 3 TD/1 Int) recorded 42.00 points and Terry McLaurin (73 Rec Yds, 2 TD) scored 23.00 points, exceeding their projections by 35.5% and 130.0%, respectively. Geno Smith (206 Pas Yds, 1 TD) got 23.00 points for Steel Curtain. The final score could have been worse, Bungals had a starter finish with zero (Logan Wilson).
There was one player on Bungals that missed out on opportunities. Despite being targeted 12 times, Davante Adams could manage just five catches.
While Tommy DeVito led Bungals matches (with 21.00 points), Burrow has now been the team's leading scorer in four of the last five weeks.
Next week, Bungals will meet Steel Curtain (8-5, 1,938.00). Steel Curtain plays Bungals (9-4, 2,236.50), who has averaged a league-leading 172.04 points this season.
