The contribution of Baker Mayfield played a key factor, as K-Lers Quitters snatched a win from Bearded Ginger 192.45 to 161.90. In the 30.55-point win for K-Lers Quitters, the Tampa Bay QB blew up for 51.15 points. He passed for five touchdowns as part of his showcase performance (359 Pas Yds, 5 TD). He also recorded the second-highest point total in the league this week. With 192.45 points, K-Lers Quitters had the third-best total in the league this season. K-Lers Quitters got the best of Bearded Ginger again in the playoffs. In the teams' previous postseason tilt, K-Lers Quitters reigned supreme in 2023.
There was one noticeable player on K-Lers Quitters that missed out on opportunities. Terry McLaurin could only reel in a single catch, despite seeing a total of seven targets.
To go along with the fantasy victory, K-Lers Quitters was keen enough to select winners in real football, as well. Each of their starters suited up on an NFL team that won in Week 17.
For the victors, several players have been getting hot in the playoffs, including Ladd McConkey and Zach Ertz. During the playoffs, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 57% and 50%, respectively. Conversely, K-Lers Quitters has a player trending the opposite way. Terry McLaurin has fallen significantly short of his year-to-date average in the postseason by 47%. Despite the loss, Bearded Ginger had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably the Baltimore Ravens DEF and Jake Elliott. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 14.33 and 12.00 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 115% and 59%.
K-Lers Quitters concluded the regular season with a record of 10-4, good for first place. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly worse (second with 138.84). After a bye in the first round of the playoffs, K-Lers Quitters snuck by Screaming Eagle, 170.75 to 167.25, on their march to the title. Bearded Ginger wrapped up the regular season in third place with a record of 8-6. Perhaps benefiting from some good fortune, they ranked just sixth in the league in scoring average at 127.36 points per game. They played in a pair of previous postseason games this year. In their last game, Bearded Ginger defeated The Pigskin Pals, 172.50 to 139.70. The week before, they took down The Raven Kid, 141.05 to 99.55.
