      Week 15 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Screaming Eagle Buries Cactus Coyote, Streak Climbs to Six

Screaming Eagle clobbered Cactus Coyote 161.80 to 74.10, making it two blowouts in as many matchups. The two teams now have the same overall record, both sitting at 8-7. Screaming Eagle got the best of Cactus Coyote again in the playoffs. In the teams' previous postseason tilt, Screaming Eagle reigned supreme in the quarterfinals in 2023. Lamar Jackson (290 Pas Yds, 65 Rsh Yds, 5 TD) got 51.00 points, which was substantially higher than his 31.05 points in the last matchup with Cactus Coyote. Adding insult to injury, Cactus Coyote had a starter score zero points (David Njoku).

For the victors, Josh Jacobs is hitting his stride at the right time. Over the past four fantasy matchups, he has surpassed his season scoring average by 36%. Despite the loss, Cactus Coyote had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: DJ Moore and Njoku. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 19.88 and 16.60 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 43% and 36%. On the other hand, the losers had a few players who were fading down the stretch, including Alexander Mattison and DK Metcalf.

On the heels of a hot run to end the season, Screaming Eagle squeezed into the playoffs as the No. 5 seed. They move on to the semifinals where they meet top-seeded K-Lers Quitters, who is coming off a bye week. These teams most recently clashed in Week 7, with K-Lers Quitters winning, 182.30 to 141.65. Cactus Coyote wrapped up the regular season in fourth place with a record of 8-6. They also ranked fourth in the league with 121.38 points per game. Cactus Coyote was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
