      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Box Of Redemption Beats Bull Rushers to Get into Championship

Box Of Redemption beat Bull Rushers 169.90 to 161.80, led by Jared Goff, who recorded the third-highest player point total this week with 39.70 points. Box Of Redemption goes to 2-1 this season against Bull Rushers, including a Week 11 waxing (200.30 to 103.25). This is the third consecutive week Box Of Redemption has improved upon their previous week's point total. They got 110.15 points two weeks ago, 143.85 last week, and 169.90 this week.

Further evaluating the numbers, Bull Rushers can trace the loss back to their underperforming trio, Courtland Sutton, Mike Evans, and Aaron Jones. Those three were projected to combine for 43.59 points, but actually ended up with 34.20, and that difference was all Box Of Redemption needed to seize the win.

For the winning side, a few players have been warming up at the right time, including the Cincinnati Bengals DEF and Sam LaPorta. Over the past four weeks, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 112% and 49%, respectively. Conversely, Box Of Redemption has a couple of players trending in the wrong direction. Kenneth Walker III and Josh Downs have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages recently. Despite the loss, Bull Rushers had several players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably Tyjae Spears and Mike Evans. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 24.40 and 26.90 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 210% and 57%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was sputtering under the brightest lights. Averaging 15.72 points on the season, Courtland Sutton mustered just 11.10 per game in the playoffs.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Box Of Redemption goes up against No. 2-seeded Fish Tank. These teams last met in Week 9, with Box Of Redemption winning, 155.15 to 136.30. Bull Rushers finished the regular season in fifth place with a record of 6-7-1. With a scoring average of 128.15, they also placed sixth in the league in that metric. In their only other postseason game of the season, Bull Rushers took down BabyGotDak, 177.15 to 133.50.
