Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Powered by a Signature Performance from Jared Goff, RCBP Will Play for Championship

With the production from Jared Goff leading the way, RCBP beat KillerRabbit 169.20 to 140.85. In the 28.35-point victory for RCBP, Goff went off for 39.70 points. He passed for 336 yards as part of his showcase performance (336 Pas Yds, 3 TD). He also recorded the third-highest point total in the league this week.

Robinson had plenty of opportunities for KillerRabbit, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches.

For the winning team, several players have been late-season stars, most notably the Detroit QB and De'Von Achane. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 86% and 47%, respectively. Conversely, RCBP has a few players moving in the wrong direction. Cooper Kupp and Travis Kelce have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, KillerRabbit had two players peaking for the postseason: Justin Jefferson and Terry McLaurin. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 28.45 and 24.20 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 47% and 38%. On the other hand, the losers had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: Joe Mixon and Brian Robinson.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when RCBP faces No. 2-seeded Horned Ninjas. These teams most recently battled in Week 7, with RCBP winning, 139.05 to 101.50. KillerRabbit wrapped up the regular season in first place with a record of 9-5. They also ranked first in the league with 145.42 points per game. KillerRabbit dropped their first playoff game following an opening-round bye. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outperforming opponents by 15.23 points per game.
