Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Saquon Deez Nuts Gets Late Rally on EYE CANDY, Takes Championship

Saquon Deez Nuts got 37.05 points from Jayden Daniels (227 Pas Yds, 127 Rsh Yds, 3 TD/1 Int) and 33.30 from Trey McBride (123 Rec Yds, 1 TD) to defeat EYE CANDY 114.75 to 99.60. Saquon Deez Nuts came into the Sunday night game facing a 14.40-point deficit, but scored 38.55 for the comeback victory. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 28.30 points after Thursday. Saquon Deez Nuts gets revenge for a Week 14 loss (154.70 to 131.45) and improves to 2-1 this season against EYE CANDY. EYE CANDY was led by Josh Allen with 24.80 points (182 Pas Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) and Calvin Ridley, who scored 14.10 (84 Rec Yds). With Ka'imi Fairbairn delivering zero points for Saquon Deez Nuts, the result might have been even worse.

There was one glaring starter on Saquon Deez Nuts that failed to capitalize on opportunites. Despite being targeted seven times, Terry McLaurin could only reel in one catch.

With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.

For the winners, a couple of players have been late-season stars : Daniels and McBride. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 57% and 30%, respectively. Conversely, Saquon Deez Nuts has a few players moving in the wrong direction. Cooper Kupp and Ka'imi Fairbairn have both substantially underperformed their year-to-date averages during the postseason.

Saquon Deez Nuts wrapped up the regular season in first place with a record of 10-4. They also ranked first in the league with 144.19 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their path to the championship, Saquon Deez Nuts beat LOOK HOW THEY FLOCK TO ME, 154.10 to 121.50. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 23.70 points per game. EYE CANDY ended the regular season in third place with a record of 8-6. Perhaps benefiting from some good fortune, they ranked just sixth in the league in scoring average at 127.31 points per game. They played in a pair of previous postseason games this year. In their last game, EYE CANDY took down The next slim shady, 154.00 to 128.20. The week before, they nipped The Comeback Kid, 173.40 to 170.20.
