Pre-Season Outlook

Speed is the name of the game for Tuten, who moved up draft boards this offseason after running a 4.32 40 at 5-foot-9, 206 pounds. That said, the Jaguars already have a potential home-run hitter in Travis Etienne, who enters the final year of his rookie deal. Tuten, drafted in the fourth round, likely needs time to polish his game, but he may be viewed as a longer-term replacement for Etienne. To get there, he must clean up major issues with ball security and improve in passing situations. Tuten fumbled 10 times on 428 touches over his final two seasons at Virginia Tech -- a glaring red flag even when compared to new teammate Tank Bigsby, who also has struggled with fumbles. If Tuten can correct those flaws, he'll soon challenge Etienne and Bigsby for touches.
