Milan Wild Boars Gets Victory over Toronto Bandits, Secures Spot in Championship
Milan Wild Boars improves to 2-0 on the year against Toronto Bandits with a 152.68 to 143.08 victory. Their overall record goes to 8-8, while Toronto Bandits falls to 11-5. The historical series between these two teams has been back and forth with Milan Wild Boars owning the 2-1 lead over Toronto Bandits. James Cook scored two touchdowns and was the difference this week, picking up 26.10 points for Milan Wild Boars. Backed by the incredible game, Cook shifted into the top 10 for running backs, averaging 16.47 points per game.
Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Toronto Bandits, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches. A spot where Toronto Bandits really made a painful call is RB. Ameer Abdullah could have started in place of Brian Robinson, and that point difference would've swayed the outcome.
For the winners, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, most notably Xavier Worthy and James Conner. During the playoffs, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 93% and 78%, respectively. On the other hand, Milan Wild Boars has several players trending in the wrong direction. The Detroit Lions DEF and Marvin Harrison Jr. have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Toronto Bandits had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, including Brian Thomas Jr. and Brandon Aubrey. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 25.60 and 12.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 92% and 59%.
