Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Old England Patriots Rallies to Beat Dublin Bay Prawns

Old England Patriots turned in a strong primetime performance with 49.68 points on Monday Night Football (41% of their total score) to steal the win from Dublin Bay Prawns 120.88 to 111.18. The late heroics were a little unexpected, since they were originally projected to put up 33.51 points on Monday night. Old England Patriots was led by Brock Purdy (377 Pas Yds, 3 Pas TD/2 Int, 1 Rsh TD). Purdy passed for 377 yards and contributed 28.28 points to the total. Things could have been different had Dublin Bay Prawns not had a starter score zero points (Christian Watson).

Tyrone Tracy Jr. had plenty of chances for Old England Patriots, but he logged just 73 total yards on 22 touches.

With 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Dublin Bay Prawns had two players performing their best in the playoffs: Adam Thielen and Jayden Daniels. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 15.30 and 28.95 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 47% and 37%. Conversely, the losers had a couple of players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Joe Mixon and the Pittsburgh Steelers DEF.
