      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Ross Beats Lucerne Deathclaws, Gets Shot at Championship

Ross got the third-highest player score of the week from Jayden Daniels with 34.42 points (258 Pas Yds, 81 Rsh Yds, 5 TD/2 Int) to take down Lucerne Deathclaws 142.92 to 130.98. Ross gets revenge for a Week 11 loss (153.08 to 133.94) and improves to 2-1 this season against Lucerne Deathclaws. Lucerne Deathclaws was led by Bijan Robinson with 24.30 points (94 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) and A.J. Brown, who scored 23.70 (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD).

One slot where Lucerne Deathclaws is really kicking themselves is WR. Jaxon Smith-Njigba could have started in place of Cooper Kupp, and that point difference could have changed the outcome.

For the winners, several players have been hitting their strides at the right time, including Jerome Ford and Puka Nacua. Over the past four games, that duo has topped their season scoring averages by 87% and 86%, respectively.

Ross qualified for the playoffs, fueled by a strong early-season performance. Next week, the league championship will be decided when Ross battles top-seeded SUPERTEEN. Ross is undefeated against SUPERTEEN in two matchups this season, with their last win coming in Week 12. Lucerne Deathclaws wrapped up the regular season with a record of 10-5, good for second place. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly worse (third with 127.95). Lucerne Deathclaws was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They handed out their fair share of pain this year, as they registered four blowout victories on the season.
