Lucerne Deathclaws Throat-Punches Game Of Mahomes, Streak Climbs to Three
Each team saved their best for last in what turned out to be a 156.94 to 92.40 blowout for Lucerne Deathclaws. Lucerne Deathclaws had an excellent Monday night with 56.94 points (36% of their total score) while Game Of Mahomes got 26.10 points Sunday night and 15.00 on MNF (a combined 44% of their score). While the late efforts were noteworthy for both teams, Lucerne Deathclaws outperformed expectations, as they were originally projected to score 43.96 points in prime time. Lucerne Deathclaws was led by Lamar Jackson this week (281 Pas Yds, 52 Rsh Yds, 5 TD). Jackson passed for five touchdowns and contributed 34.44 points in the blowout. Joe Mixon also chipped in 26.40 points by getting two touchdowns (115 Rsh Yds, 2 TD). To make matters worse, Game Of Mahomes got zero points from Tank Dell. Lucerne Deathclaws had their highest overall score of the season, as well as the third-biggest margin of victory in the league. Game Of Mahomes (3-4, 749.32 points) drops to ninth place, while Lucerne Deathclaws (5-2, 877.50 points) remains in third place.
There was one player on Lucerne Deathclaws that failed to capitalize on opportunites. Despite being targeted eight times, Xavier Worthy could manage just three catches.
