      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Big phineas Beats Cleats and Cleavage to Get to Consolation Championship

Big phineas got past Cleats and Cleavage 155.14 to 145.98 and logged the second-highest score this week. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being the final margin. Big phineas gets revenge for a Week 8 loss (151.24 to 130.50) and improves to 1-1 this season against Cleats and Cleavage. This is the third consecutive week Big phineas has improved upon their previous week's point total. They got 136.02 points two weeks ago, 153.36 last week, and 155.14 this week.

There was one starter on Big phineas that missed out on some chances. Despite being targeted seven times, DK Metcalf could manage just three catches.

For the winners, a few players have been getting hot at the right time, including the Kansas City Chiefs DEF and Justin Jefferson. Over the past four weeks, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 51% and 45%, respectively. Conversely, Big phineas has a pair of players heading in the opposite direction. Kenneth Walker III and Cooper Kupp have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages recently. Despite the loss, Cleats and Cleavage also had two players peaking for the postseason: Davante Adams and David Njoku. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 26.52 and 14.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 94% and 52%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was fading down the stretch. The Detroit Lions DEF has dipped below their yearly average by 63% over the past month.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Big phineas matches up against No. 2-seeded TUSKS. These teams most recently battled in Week 7, with Big phineas winning, 130.40 to 119.66. Cleats and Cleavage ended the regular season in eighth place with a record of 7-8. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (sixth with 118.30). Cleats and Cleavage was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
