      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Onis Beats Mile High Wranglers, Moves on to Consolation Championship

Onis defeated Mile High Wranglers 140.22 to 107.00 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. Their overall record goes to 9-7, while Mile High Wranglers drops to 7-9. Jaxon Smith-Njigba (95 Rec Yds, 1 TD) led the effort this week, garnering 24.00 points. Smith-Njigba, a 15th-round pick, continues to play like a top fantasy wide receiver for Onis and has been a reason why they have owned the season matchup.

Etienne had plenty of opportunities for Mile High Wranglers, but could only manage 37 total yards on 11 touches.

For the winning side, several players have been getting hot at the right time, including the Cincinnati Bengals DEF and Mark Andrews. Over the past month, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 145% and 42%, respectively. Conversely, Onis has a couple of players trending the opposite way. Cooper Kupp and Derrick Henry have both substantially underperformed their year-to-date averages recently. Despite the loss, Mile High Wranglers had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Tee Higgins and Wil Lutz. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 15.45 and 12.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 41% and 41%. On the other hand, the losers had two players who were fading down the stretch: the Minnesota Vikings DEF and Josh Downs.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Onis faces No. 3-seeded High Hopes. Onis has a 1-1 record against High Hopes this season. Mile High Wranglers concluded the regular season in eighth place with a record of 7-8. They also ranked eighth in the league with 108.23 points per game. Mile High Wranglers was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
