      Around The League
      • Smash Mouth 1 has now beaten their projected score eight weeks in a row.
      • Smash Mouth 1 couldn't beat Hooked On BoNix despite starting the league's top-scoring QB (Burrow with 36.98 points) and the top-scoring RB (Taylor with 27.60) this week.
      • Hit Me With Your Prescott is on a six-game winning streak.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 84.6% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (11-2 overall).
      • Teams that started a top-5 scoring RB only went 1-2 overall this week.
      • Steel Curtain probably wishes they had started Baker Mayfield. The 34.56 points he scored would have represented the fourth-highest individual score this week.
      • Free Agents Drew Lock, Marvin Mims Jr. and DeVonta Smith combined to score more points than all of Heather's starters this week.
      • Teams have won 40.6% of the time this season (13-19) when they fail to throw a Pass TD.

      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

IronRangers Steals One from Steel Curtain and Remains Unbeaten in Head-to-Head Play

IronRangers beat Steel Curtain 141.20 to 121.98 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. Their overall record goes to 10-7, while Steel Curtain drops to 8-9. Mike Evans scored two touchdowns and was the reason for the win, garnering 29.70 points for IronRangers. Evans has lived up to his draft position for IronRangers, putting up 17.12 points per game.

There was one starter on Steel Curtain that missed out on some chances. Despite being targeted seven times, George Pickens could manage just three catches.

For the winning side, several players have been getting hot in the playoffs, including Evans and Mark Andrews. During the playoffs, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 62% and 35%, respectively. On the other hand, IronRangers has a player heading in the opposite direction. The Pittsburgh Steelers DEF has fallen well beneath their year-to-date average in the postseason by 94%. Despite the loss, Steel Curtain had a couple of players performing their best in the playoffs: Malik Nabers and Jerome Ford. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 24.95 and 13.15 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 70% and 50%. Conversely, the losers had a few players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, most notably George Pickens and Chris Boswell.
