With Their Top Guns Doing the Heavy Lifting, Gang Gold Green Spanks Punt
The trio of De'Von Achane, Jalen Hurts, and Justin Jefferson led the charge, as Gang Gold Green overpowered Punt 141.38 to 94.20. That threesome combined to score 83.58 points, clearly outperforming the top scorers from Punt (Bijan Robinson, Sam Darnold, and Rome Odunze), who totaled 55.90 points. Achane scored two touchdowns, registering 32.10 points (63 Rsh Yds, 58 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD). Hurts also came through with 29.90 points (230 Pas Yds, 67 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD), while Jefferson chipped in 21.58 points (137 Rec Yds). Achane also recorded the third-highest point total in the league this week, with Hurts tallying the highest point total of the week at his position. Gang Gold Green (6-3, 1,071.60 points) climbs into second place, while Punt (2-7, 892.30 points) stays locked in last place.
Sadly for Punt, Xavier Worthy wasn't just the lone wide receiver to tally a negative score; he was the only starter throughout the whole league in negative territory.
Since Achane was the leading scorer for Gang Gold Green, it means a different player has now led the team in each of the last seven weeks.
