      Week 13 Recap: Tuesday Edition

rex Comes Back to Beat Punt for 4th Straight Win

rex got 18.30 points from Kyren Williams (104 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) and 17.90 from Tee Higgins (69 Rec Yds, 1 TD) to take down Punt 104.54 to 97.78. rex came into the Monday night game facing a 9.44-point deficit, but scored 16.20 for the comeback victory. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 12.74 points after Sunday afternoon. rex goes to 1-1 this season against Punt, avenging a Week 4 loss (103.20 to 94.90) the last time the teams met. It could have gone the other way had Punt not had a starter score zero points (Kyle Pitts). rex (6-7, 1,470.68 points) remains in seventh place and Punt (3-10, 1,268.72 points) is still looking up at everyone from last place.

There were two players that failed to capitalize on opportunities for Punt. Even though Marvin Harrison Jr. and DK Metcalf saw a total of 21 combined targets, they were able to reel in just nine catches between them. There are a couple of spots where Punt really made a regrettable choice, as Sam Darnold could have started in place of Justin Herbert and Zach Ertz in place of Pitts. Either of those point differentials would've ultimately changed the outcome.

Since Williams was the top point-getter for rex, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four weeks. With 16.54 points, Patrick Mahomes paced the squad in Week 10, while Tee Higgins (29.80 points) was tops in Week 11 and Courtland Sutton (29.70 points) in Week 12.

Next week, rex faces Evan (8-5, 1,511.00). Punt takes on Leif (7-6, 1,654.62), who is averaging a solid 127.28 points per game.
