      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Behind Three Big Performances, Terry Teams Will Play for Consolation Championship

The three-headed monster of Jonathan Taylor, Justin Jefferson, and Jameson Williams led the way, as Terry Teams overwhelmed Nightghost 202.92 to 110.48. That threesome combined to score 102.20 points, topping the production from the top scorers from Nightghost (Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jason Sanders), who totaled 63.40 points. Taylor rushed for 218 yards, registering 39.80 points (218 Rsh Yds, 3 TD). Jefferson came through with two touchdowns to contribute 36.40 points (144 Rec Yds, 2 TD), while Williams tacked on 26.00 points (143 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Taylor also recorded the highest point total in the league this week, with Jefferson tallying the second-highest point total in the league this week. Terry Teams had the best score in the league this year, as well as the biggest margin of victory.

Dowdle had plenty of opportunities for Nightghost, but could only manage 51 total yards on 16 touches.

For the winning side, several players have been hitting their strides at the right time, including Taylor and Jefferson. Over the past month, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 62% and 45%, respectively. Conversely, Terry Teams has a player trending the opposite way. The Minnesota Vikings DEF has fallen significantly short of their year-to-date average recently.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Terry Teams faces top-seeded Max Chubb. Terry Teams has a 1-1 record against Max Chubb this season. Nightghost concluded the regular season with a record of 8-7, good for sixth place. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly worse (seventh with 117.52). Nightghost was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
