      Around The League
      • Sierra Hotel India has now beaten their projected score six weeks in a row.
      • Josh has started the season off on the right foot with a 17-game winning streak.
      • Nightghost earned the win this week despite not starting a top-15 scoring QB.
      • Patrik has now increased their score each of the past three weeks.
      • No surprise here: teams have won 60.0% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (6-4 overall).
      • Sierra Hotel India probably wishes they had started Malik Nabers. The 36.10 points he scored would have represented the third-highest individual score this week.
      • Ilze has now decreased their score each of the past three weeks.
      • Terry Teams is on a three-game winning streak.

      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Terry Teams Comes Back to Wax Max Chubb and Wins League Consolation Championship

Terry Teams took advantage of 30.28 points from Brock Purdy (377 Pas Yds, 3 Pas TD/2 Int, 1 Rsh TD) and 27.60 from Jonathan Taylor (125 Rsh Yds, 2 TD), demolishing Max Chubb 135.38 to 76.50. Terry Teams came into the Monday night game facing a 15.10-point deficit, but scored 73.98 for the comeback victory. Terry Teams gets revenge for a Week 12 shellacking (129.86 to 74.90) and improves to 2-1 this season against Max Chubb. Max Chubb was led by Puka Nacua with 22.90 points (129 Rec Yds) and the New York Giants DEF, who scored 13.00 (33 PA, 1 TD, 2 Sack, 2 Int, 1 Fum). To make matters worse, Max Chubb had two starters score zero points (Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurts).

Achane had plenty of opportunities for Max Chubb, but could only manage 38 total yards on 12 touches.

For the winners, several players have been getting hot in the playoffs, including Taylor and Jameson Williams. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 163% and 112%, respectively. Conversely, Terry Teams has two players heading in the opposite direction. The Minnesota Vikings DEF and Rachaad White have both fallen significantly short of their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Max Chubb also had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, most notably the Giants D and Nacua. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 7.50 and 18.25 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 58% and 49%. On the other hand, the losers had several players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, including Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurts.

Terry Teams wrapped up the regular season in seventh place with a record of 7-8. Catching some unlucky breaks, they ranked third in the league in points per game with 118.11. In their only other postseason game on their march to the consolation title, Terry Teams drubbed Nightghost, 202.92 to 110.48. They passed out their fair share of epic beatdowns this year, as they registered five blowout victories on the season. Max Chubb ended the regular season in fifth place with a record of 8-7. With a scoring average of 115.51, they also placed seventh in the league in that metric. In their only other postseason game of the season, Max Chubb defeated Patrik, 110.14 to 95.34.
