      Week 8 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Guatemalan Saints Comes Back on Efrain, Notches 6th in a Row

Guatemalan Saints (7-1, 1,114.66 points) defeated Efrain (2-6, 818.72 points) 143.56 to 134.20 in a matchup with three lead changes. They also put up the second-highest score this week. Guatemalan Saints took the early lead, up 87.16 to 86.10, after they scored the bulk of their points during the first set of Sunday games. The tide turned in favor of Efrain 134.20 to 115.46 after CeeDee Lamb scored 39.60 points during the Cowboys/49ers game on Sunday night. However, Guatemalan Saints recovered for the win on Monday night, with Malik Nabers scoring 14.10 points during the Giants/Steelers game.

Unfortunately for Efrain, the Bengals Defense wasn't just the lone D to earn a negative score; they represented the only fantasy starter throughout the whole league in negative territory. Walker had plenty of opportunities for Efrain, but he only posted 45 total yards on 13 touches.

Since Jacobs was the leading point-getter for Guatemalan Saints, it means a different player has now topped the team in each of the past five weeks. With 23.64 points, Lamar Jackson paced the squad in Week 4, while Ja'Marr Chase put up 41.30 points to lead the way in Week 5. Allen Lazard (23.40 points) was tops in Week 6 and Saquon Barkley (26.70 points) led in Week 7. Additionally, with 17 targets this week for Lamb, it means that his targets have now increased in four consecutive games.

Guatemalan Saints squares off against TasmanianDevil (5-3, 833.02) next week, while Efrain gets Andrew (2-6, 783.34).
