      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Behind a Sizzling Showing from Ladd McConkey, Los Hijos Gets Win Against Mean Machine

The contribution of Ladd McConkey played an integral role, as Los Hijos got a victory over Mean Machine 131.34 to 107.40. In the 23.94-point win for Los Hijos, McConkey heated up for 29.40 points. He scored two touchdowns as part of his showcase performance (94 Rec Yds, 2 TD). He also recorded his highest point total of the season. On top of the loss, Mean Machine had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).

In addition to the fantasy victory, Los Hijos was savvy enough to pick winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Najee Harris is the only one whose NFL team lost this week.

For the victors, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, most notably McConkey and Justin Herbert. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 70% and 50%, respectively. On the other hand, Los Hijos has a couple of players heading in the opposite direction. Cooper Kupp and Harris have both substantially underperformed their year-to-date averages during the postseason. Despite the loss, Mean Machine had several players performing their best in the playoffs, including Patrick Mahomes and Justin Jefferson. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 24.85 and 26.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 45% and 38%. Conversely, the losers had a pair of players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: the Pittsburgh Steelers DEF and Fairbairn.
