      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Gunjunkunkus Beats Turf Toe Joes, Celebrates League Championship

Gunjunkunkus stays unbeaten against Turf Toe Joes with a 140.52 to 122.98 victory. Their overall record goes to 13-4, while Turf Toe Joes falls to 11-6. Turf Toe Joes isn't an easy win for Gunjunkunkus, who now has a 15.92-point average margin of victory against them. That's a lot thinner than their second-best margin of victory in the league of 37.59. Lamar Jackson (168 Pas Yds, 87 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) was the determining factor this week, putting up 29.42 points. Jackson was a great mid-round selection for Gunjunkunkus and has played like a top-tier quarterback. The margin could have been larger as Gunjunkunkus had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).

In addition to the fantasy W, Gunjunkunkus was savvy enough to choose winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Fairbairn is the only one whose NFL team didn't win in Week 17. Also, with 33 touches this week for Saquon Barkley, it means that his touches have now increased in three consecutive games.

For the winning team, two players have been postseason stars : Jameson Williams and the Seattle Seahawks DEF. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 112% and 32%, respectively. On the other hand, Gunjunkunkus has a player trending in the wrong direction. Fairbairn has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average in the postseason by 68%. Despite the loss, Turf Toe Joes had a pair of players performing their best in the playoffs: Keenan Allen and Jerome Ford. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 18.30 and 13.15 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 58% and 50%.

Gunjunkunkus wrapped up the regular season in first place with a record of 11-4. They also ranked first in the league with 141.56 points per game. In their only other postseason game along the way to winning the trophy, Gunjunkunkus beat Craig, 172.58 to 141.38. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 23.44 points per game. Turf Toe Joes concluded the regular season in third place with a record of 10-5. With a scoring average of 122.70, they also placed fourth in the league in that metric. In their only other postseason game of the season, Turf Toe Joes defeated CHOICE WAIVERS, 134.34 to 128.44.
