      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Elks Picks Up Victory over Go Pack Go, Will Play for Consolation Championship

A rally on both Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football wasn't enough for Go Pack Go. They had 24.20 points on SNF and 28.48 on MNF (combining to be 47% of their total score), but Elks still pulled out the 121.58 to 111.78 victory. Elks was led by the Atlanta Falcons DEF, who contributed 25.00 points to the total (7 PA, 2 TD, 3 Sack, 2 Int, 1 Fum).

There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but left some points out on the field. On the winning side, Rico Dowdle got 16 touches but only tallied 51 total yards, while Brian Robinson managed just 41 yards on 12 touches for Go Pack Go. There are a couple of spots where Go Pack Go really made a regrettable decision, as Javonte Williams could have started in place of Brian Robinson and Baker Mayfield in place of Jordan Love. Either of those point differentials would've been enough to change the outcome.

For the victorious side, a few players have been peaking at the right time, including the Falcons D and Puka Nacua. Over the past month, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 176% and 86%, respectively. Despite the loss, Go Pack Go had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Brian Thomas Jr. and Pat Freiermuth. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 24.00 and 12.10 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 57% and 30%.

Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Elks matches up against No. 3-seeded My Ball Zach Ertz. Elks is undefeated against My Ball Zach Ertz in two matchups this season, with their last win coming in Week 12. Go Pack Go wrapped up the regular season in eighth place with a record of 4-11. They also ranked eighth in the league with 103.57 points per game. Go Pack Go was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
