Around The League
  • NFL Zamacona '24 continues defying the pundits, and has beaten their projected score seven weeks in a row.
  • Spartans5 earned the win this week despite not starting a top-15 scoring QB.
  • Elks is on an eight-game winning streak.
  • NFL Zamacona '24 couldn't seal the deal against Shedder Guy, despite starting the league's top-scoring QB (Burrow with 36.98 points), the top-scoring WR (Higgins with 40.10), and the top-scoring TE (McBride with 30.30).
  • Shedder Guy is on a six-game winning streak.
  • No surprise here: teams have won 60.0% of the time this season when starting the league's top-scoring QB of the week (6-4 overall).
  • Go Pack Go probably wishes they had started Baker Mayfield. The 34.56 points he scored would have represented the fourth-highest individual score this week.
  • JoshAllenLover123 was favored to win by the biggest margin in the league this week (37.18 points) but ended up losing by 22.02 points.

Jayden Daniels (227 Pas Yds, 127 Rsh Yds, 3 TD/1 Int) put up 31.78 points, which was about even with his 30.40 points in the last matchup with My Ball Zach Ertz. This is the largest winning margin for Elks in three head-to-head matchups. They beat My Ball Zach Ertz 146.10 to 118.32 in Week 12 and again 104.26 to 101.70 in Week 3.

For Elks, the Colts Defense wasn't just the lone defense to post a negative score; they represented the only fantasy starter throughout the whole league in the negatives. In addition, My Ball Zach Ertz had a significant starter that left points out on the field. Despite being targeted seven times, Terry McLaurin could only reel in one catch.

For the winners, a few players have been getting hot in the playoffs, most notably Mike Evans and Daniels. During the playoffs, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 62% and 55%, respectively. On the other hand, Elks has a player trending the opposite way. Joe Mixon has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average in the postseason by 55%. Despite the loss, My Ball Zach Ertz had a couple of players performing their best in the playoffs: Jonathan Taylor and Justin Jefferson. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 33.70 and 26.80 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 163% and 38%. Conversely, the losers had several players who struggled in the playoff spotlight, including Cooper Kupp and Chris Boswell.

Elks concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 9-6. They also ranked fifth in the league with 121.75 points per game. In their only other postseason game on their trail to the consolation title, Elks beat Go Pack Go, 121.58 to 111.78. My Ball Zach Ertz ended the regular season in seventh place with a record of 5-10.
