Lorenzo Gets Comeback over Bills Bills, Heads to Consolation Championship
Lorenzo remains unbeaten in two matchups against Bills Bills with a 106.58 to 91.86 victory. Their overall record goes to 8-8, while Bills Bills falls to 5-11. Deebo Samuel Sr. (96 Rec Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) was the winning factor this week, picking up 25.10 points. This was a downgrade, however, from the 34.44 points he got the last time these teams played. With Lorenzo receiving goose eggs from two of their starters, the margin could have been larger.
For the winners, Nick Chubb is warming up at the right time. Over the past four weeks, he has bettered his season scoring average by 112%. Conversely, Lorenzo has a player trending in the wrong direction, as Kyle Pitts has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Bills Bills had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: Jerry Jeudy and Josh Allen. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 20.93 and 33.19 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 44% and 35%. On the other hand, the losers had several players who were fading down the stretch, including Dalton Kincaid and Cooper Kupp.
Next week, the league consolation championship will be decided when Lorenzo matches up against No. 3-seeded LoveGreeN.
