Week 15 Recap: Tuesday Edition

East Bound and Down Snatches Win from LaPorta Potty, Claims a Spot in Semifinals

East Bound and Down beat LaPorta Potty 171.18 to 145.26 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. Their overall record goes to 10-5, while LaPorta Potty drops to 7-8. Josh Allen passed for 362 yards and was the determining factor this week, getting 46.28 points. Allen, a 15th-round pick, has been a major contributor for East Bound and Down and has been a reason why they have owned the season matchup.

Alvin Kamara really deserved more touches for LaPorta Potty, as he put up a whopping 70 total yards on just nine touches.

For the winning team, two players have been warming up at the right time: the Buffalo QB and Mike Evans. Over the past month, that duo has outperformed their season scoring averages by 51% and 51%, respectively. Conversely, East Bound and Down has a pair of players trending the opposite way. Cade Otton and the Minnesota Vikings DEF have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages recently. Despite the loss, LaPorta Potty had a couple of players peaking for the postseason: the Denver Broncos DEF and Sam LaPorta. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 16.75 and 12.50 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 37% and 36%. On the other hand, the losers had a pair of players who were fading down the stretch: Jonathan Taylor and Justin Tucker.

East Bound and Down advances to the semifinals where they will face top-seeded Hambone, who is coming off a bye week. Hambone is the league's top-scoring team this year, averaging 138.47 points per game. LaPorta Potty ended the regular season in sixth place with a record of 7-7. Catching some unlucky breaks, they ranked third in the league in points per game with 120.69. LaPorta Potty was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
