Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

East Bound and Down Comes from Behind to Edge LUCKY LINDA

East Bound and Down got 29.70 points from Mike Evans (97 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and 28.30 from Jahmyr Gibbs (117 Rsh Yds, 46 Rec Yds, 1 TD) to edge LUCKY LINDA 143.98 to 141.48. East Bound and Down came into the Monday night game facing a 5.60-point deficit, but scored 28.30 for the comeback victory. This close win was revenge for a loss to LUCKY LINDA in their last meeting a season ago. Joe Burrow brought in the highest score of the league this week with 46.98 points (412 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 3 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) for LUCKY LINDA.

There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but didn't capitalize on opportunities. On the winning side, Tyrone Tracy Jr. got 22 touches but only tallied 73 total yards, while De'Von Achane managed just 38 yards on 12 touches for LUCKY LINDA.

For the winning side, several players have been playoff studs, including Chig Okonkwo and Evans. During the playoffs, that duo has exceeded their season scoring averages by 119% and 63%, respectively. On the other hand, East Bound and Down has a player moving in the wrong direction. Rashod Bateman has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average in the postseason by 52%. Despite the loss, LUCKY LINDA also had two players performing their best in the playoffs: Ladd McConkey and Burrow. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 22.05 and 37.48 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 56% and 37%. Conversely, the losers had a pair of players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Chris Boswell and Ray-Ray McCloud.
