Final Score 111.43 | 97.17 |
The Huntsvillain got 20.40 points from Ja'Marr Chase (54 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 18.93 from Josh Allen (283 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 2 TD/1 Int), taking down musty musket 111.43 to 97.17. The Huntsvillain took a 10.00-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. This win was revenge for a loss to musty musket in their last meeting a season ago. Evan Engram (acquired via free agency in Week 6) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (acquired via free agency in Week 6) made a big impact, posting 13.60 and 12.90 points, respectively. musty musket (5-3, 876.48 points) drops to fourth place and The Huntsvillain (6-2, 914.87 points) remains in first place.
There was a player on both teams that had plenty of chances but didn't capitalize on opportunities. On the winning side, James Conner got 22 touches but only tallied 69 total yards, while J.K. Dobbins managed just 68 yards on 21 touches for musty musket. There are a couple of spots where musty musket wishes they could get a re-do, as Calvin Ridley could have started in place of either Amari Cooper or Sterling Shepard. Either of those point differentials would've swayed the outcome.
It wasn't all bad news for musty musket, as they did field a squad of real-life winners. Every starter except Shepard played on a winning NFL team in Week 8. While Josh Allen led The Huntsvillain in Week 6 (with 22.97 points) and Saquon Barkley last week (26.70 points), Chase has now been the team's top point-getter twice in the last four matches.
In Week 9, The Huntsvillain takes on El ChupacaBrock (4-4, 894.18), while musty musket faces Rochester Bears (3-5, 896.02).
Barkley had 22 carries for 108 yards, giving him at least 100 yards on the ground in each of his last two games.
Chase (54 Rec Yds, 1 TD) scored 20.40 points, the ninth-highest score of any WR in the league this week.
With 9.00 points (10 PA, 1 Sack, 1 Int, 1 Fum), the Bills Defense tallied the fifth-highest score for a DEF this week.
Having made at least two field goals in each of his last three games, Reichard is kicking well. This week, he went 2-2 on field goal attempts.
Smith-Njigba beat his 10.04-point projection by 28.5%, the highest percentage of any starter on The Huntsvillain.
This week Henry (45 Rec Yds) beat his projection again and has now done so for three weeks in a row.
