Maximum Effort Beats El ChupacaBrock, Grabs 2nd Place
Maximum Effort picked up 20.90 points from Kenneth Walker III (32 Rsh Yds, 37 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 18.50 from Bucky Irving (81 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) to take down El ChupacaBrock 122.07 to 116.87. Maximum Effort took a 20.90-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. This win had a taste of revenge for Maximum Effort following a tough postseason loss last year to El ChupacaBrock. El ChupacaBrock got zero points from Marvin Harrison Jr., which might have made the difference in the outcome. Maximum Effort (4-2, 745.77 points) climbs into second place and El ChupacaBrock (2-4, 641.71 points) stays in eighth place.
Kenneth Walker III had plenty of chances for Maximum Effort, but he logged just 69 total yards on 22 touches. There are a couple of spots where El ChupacaBrock wishes they could get a re-do, as Keenan Allen could have started in place of either Marvin Harrison Jr. or Chris Olave. Either of those point differentials would have changed the outcome.
