SF's BowMen got the second-highest player point total this week from Lamar Jackson with 62.00 points (290 Pas Yds, 65 Rsh Yds, 5 TD) to get the win over Birds of Prey 157.50 to 136.00. SF's BowMen took a 22.50-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. While both sides played better than expected, SF's BowMen put up 54.4% more points than projected (102.00) to pick up the win. Birds of Prey was led by Jayden Daniels with 43.00 points (226 Pas Yds, 66 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) and Bijan Robinson, who scored 16.00 (125 Rsh Yds). SF's BowMen started two players with zero points while Birds of Prey also served up two goose eggs, meaning both sides missed scoring opportunities.
For the victorious side, a couple of players have been hitting their strides at the right time: the Atlanta Falcons DEF and Jordan Addison. Over the past four games, that duo has surpassed their season scoring averages by 83% and 60%, respectively. On the other hand, SF's BowMen has a player trending the opposite way. Cooper Kupp has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Birds of Prey also had a pair of players peaking for the postseason: Zach Sieler and Daniels. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 10.12 and 42.38 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 44% and 31%. Conversely, the losers had two players who were fading down the stretch: Derrick Henry and Darnell Mooney.
SF's BowMen marches on to the semifinals where they go up against No. 2-seeded Bungals, who is coming off a bye week. Bungals is the highest-scoring team this season, averaging 176.71 points per game. Birds of Prey concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 9-5. In terms of scoring average, they ranked slightly better (third with 163.07). Birds of Prey was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They passed out their fair share of classic drubbings this year, as they tallied five blowout victories on the season.
