Crack the Whipp Picks Up Victory over Birds of Prey, Notches 8th in a Row
In an epic battle between the third- and fourth-highest-scoring teams of the week, Crack the Whipp defeated Birds of Prey 184.50 to 174.00. Only two teams scored more points than Birds of Prey in a game this season and lost. The loss drops Birds of Prey to 5-3 (5th place) and ends their two-game winning streak. Crack the Whipp (8-0) is in first place, averaging 162.06 points per game. The combined total was unexpected given that Crack the Whipp was only projected to score 112.00 points and Birds of Prey was expected to score 103.00 points. C.J. Stroud (285 Pas Yds, 1 TD) had the best game for Crack the Whipp with 26.00. Kirk Cousins (276 Pas Yds, 4 TD) put up the third-highest score this week (50.00) and Bijan Robinson scored 21.00 points for Birds of Prey. The result might have been even worse, as Crack the Whipp had a starter who didn't score (Haason Reddick).
Hunt had plenty of opportunities for Birds of Prey, but could only manage 63 total yards on 22 touches.
