      Week 15 Recap: Tuesday Edition

The Kraken Beats Up Team Bruiser for 3rd Straight Win

The duo of the Denver Broncos DEF and Bijan Robinson led the charge, as The Kraken overpowered Team Bruiser 102.10 to 59.34. That tandem joined forces to score 38.00 points, topping the production from Malik Nabers and Sam Darnold (30.44 combined points), the top two on Team Bruiser. The Broncos D (13 PA, 1 TD, 2 Sack, 2 Int, 3 Fum) put up 22.00 points, while Robinson (125 Rsh Yds) also helped out with 16.00 for the victors. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands three times, with the largest lead being 42.76 points after Monday night. The Kraken has played Team Bruiser well lately, improving to 2-1 head-to-head this season, including a Week 14 win (145.50 to 110.58) in their last matchup. Team Bruiser was led by Nabers with 19.20 points (82 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and Darnold, who scored 11.24 (231 Pas Yds, 1 TD/1 Int).

There was one fairly noteworthy starter on The Kraken that missed out on some opportunities. Even though Jauan Jennings saw a total of nine targets, he only reeled in two catches.

To go along with the fantasy victory, The Kraken was savvy enough to select winners in real-life football, as well. Among all of their starters, Jauan Jennings was the only one that suited up on a losing NFL team in Week 15.

For the winning team, the Denver D is getting hot at the right time. Over the past four fantasy matchups, they have exceeded their season scoring average by 59%. Despite the playoff loss, Zach Ertz was playing well during the stretch run for Team Bruiser. Over the last four games, he has averaged 10.75 points, exceeding his year-to-date number by 34%. On the other hand, the losers had a player who was tailing off at the end of the year. Chuba Hubbard has fallen short of his yearly average by 26% over the past month.

After a consistent campaign, The Kraken snuck into the playoffs as the No. 5 seed. They march on to the semifinals where they face top-seeded Battle Bears, who is coming off a bye week. Battle Bears is the highest-scoring team this season, averaging 112.35 points per game. Team Bruiser ended the regular season in fourth place with a record of 8-6. They also ranked fourth in the league with 99.49 points per game. Team Bruiser was bounced early this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup. They distributed their fair share of beatdowns this year, as they racked up four blowout victories on the season.
