      Week 17 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Blue Magic Comes Back to Nip Barnyard Pimps, Nabs League Championship

Blue Magic snuck past Barnyard Pimps 124.95 to 121.80 to improve their season record to 3-0 against them. They improve to 14-2, while Barnyard Pimps drops to 11-5. Ladd McConkey scored two touchdowns and was the determining factor this week, grabbing 31.40 points. The Los Angeles Chargers WR has been an outstanding late-round pick for Blue Magic, scoring an average of 15.83 points per game. Blue Magic now has a 17.07-point average margin of victory over Barnyard Pimps in three matchups.

There was one starter on Blue Magic that left points out on the field. Terry McLaurin could only reel in a single catch, despite seeing a total of seven targets.

For the victors, a few players have been late-season stars, most notably the Miami Dolphins DEF and Brian Thomas Jr. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 82% and 67%, respectively. Conversely, Blue Magic has two players heading in the opposite direction. Terry McLaurin and Breece Hall have both fallen well beneath their year-to-date averages during the postseason.

Blue Magic finished the regular season in first place with a record of 12-2. Their record was a bit misleading, as they ranked just fourth in the league in scoring average at 136.05 points per game. After a bye in the first round of the playoffs, Blue Magic beat EZX Tornadoes, 155.15 to 148.25, along the way to winning the trophy. They had the league's best average scoring margin this season, outpacing opponents by 17.71 points per game. Barnyard Pimps concluded the regular season in second place with a record of 10-4. With a scoring average of 136.89, they also placed third in the league in that metric. Following an opening-round playoff bye, Barnyard Pimps took down Tuff Call, 132.80 to 120.70.
