Facing a 5.80-point deficit on Monday night, EZX Tornadoes scored 13.70 to beat Tuff Call 171.90 to 164.00. They also put up the ninth-highest score this season. This shocker was revenge for a loss to Tuff Call in their last meeting a season ago. Joe Burrow racked up the highest score in the league this week with 53.10 points (412 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 3 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) for Tuff Call. If Tuff Call didn't have both Ka'imi Fairbairn and CeeDee Lamb put up zeroes, it could have gone the other way.
There are a couple of spots where Tuff Call is wishing they could get a do-over, as Jaylen Warren could have started in place of either Jerome Ford or Joe Mixon. Either of those point differentials could have changed the outcome.
For the winning side, Mike Evans is peaking during the playoffs. He has topped his season scoring average by 66% during the postseason run. Conversely, EZX Tornadoes also has a player heading in the opposite direction, as Jauan Jennings has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average since the playoffs began.
