      Week 16 Recap: Tuesday Edition

Horned Ninjas Wins Comeback Nailbiter over IDNATIUS, Gets Shot at Championship

Horned Ninjas remains unbeaten on the year against IDNATIUS this season after yet another win, this time by a final score of 192.25 to 188.20. They go to 10-5, while IDNATIUS drops to 10-6. Horned Ninjas exacted a bit of postseason revenge against IDNATIUS with this victory. In the teams' last playoff matchup, Horned Ninjas lost in the quarterfinals in 2023. IDNATIUS isn't an easy win for Horned Ninjas, who now has an average margin of victory of 13.05 points this season in the season series. That's a lot thinner than their 29.13-point average margin of victory on the season, which ranks second in the league. Chuba Hubbard rushed for 152 yards and was the reason for the win, getting 35.50 points for Horned Ninjas. Hubbard continues to be a marvelous late-round pickup for Horned Ninjas, scoring an average of 16.91 points per game. The margin could have been larger as Horned Ninjas had a starter score zero points (the San Francisco 49ers DEF). Horned Ninjas defeated IDNATIUS 146.85 to 140.75 in Week 14.

There was one player on IDNATIUS that left points out on the field. Even though Tyreek Hill saw a total of seven targets, he reeled in just three catches.

Horned Ninjas was on a different level in the backfield, as they started two of the league's top-10 overall RBs this week.

For the winners, James Cook is getting hot at the right time. Over the past four weeks, he has exceeded his season scoring average by 31%. Despite the loss, IDNATIUS had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, including the Kansas City Chiefs DEF and Jonathan Taylor. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 15.00 and 32.45 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 126% and 113%. Conversely, the losers had a couple of players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Tyreek Hill and Courtland Sutton.

Next week, the league championship will be decided when Horned Ninjas goes up against No. 5-seeded RCBP. RCBP is in the midst of a six-game winning streak. IDNATIUS ended the regular season in third place with a record of 9-5. With a scoring average of 128.11, they also placed fifth in the league in that metric. In their only other postseason game of the season, IDNATIUS took down Whitetank Warriors, 139.35 to 119.95.
