Brian Thomas Jr. racked up 28.20 points and Sam Darnold added another 22.94 points with three passing touchdowns as CPFan defeated Ryan 142.54 to 106.44. CPFan goes to 2-1 this season against Ryan, including a Week 11 pasting (157.74 to 108.34). Ryan was led by Bijan Robinson with 24.30 points (94 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who scored 24.00 (95 Rec Yds, 1 TD).
Robinson had plenty of opportunities for Ryan, but could only manage 41 total yards on 12 touches.
For the winners, Jr. is playing his best at the right time. Over the past four fantasy matchups, he has surpassed his season scoring average by 57%. On the other hand, CPFan has a player trending the opposite way, as Tony Pollard has substantially underperformed his year-to-date average recently. Despite the loss, Ryan also had several players peaking for the postseason, most notably Jerry Jeudy and Mark Andrews. Over the past month, that combo has averaged 20.93 and 14.68 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 44% and 42%.
Behind a hot run to end the season, CPFan headed for the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. Next week, the league championship will be decided when CPFan goes up against top-seeded Phat Boy. Phat Boy is the highest-scoring team this season, averaging 145.70 points per game. Ryan concluded the regular season in third place with a record of 10-5. They also ranked third in the league with 128.25 points per game. Ryan was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their first playoff matchup.
By churning out 23 carries for 122 yards and a TD this week, Williams now has least 100 yards on the ground in each of his last two games.
The 22.94 points scored by Darnold this week was good enough to rank fifth among QBs.
Chase (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD) scored 22.40 points, the ninth-highest score of any WR in the league this week.
With 17.00 points (0 PA, 3 Sack, 1 Int, 1 Fum), the Packers Defense tallied the third-highest score for a DEF this week.
The 13.80 points scored by Andrews this week was good enough to rank eighth among TEs.
Robinson (94 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) scored 24.30 points, the eighth-highest score of any RB in the league this week.
