JohnWick beat Weekend Warriors 178.48 to 124.98 for their second win in as many head-to-head matchups. The two teams now have the same overall record, sitting at 12-5. Tee Higgins scored three touchdowns and led the effort this week, garnering 40.10 points for JohnWick. Higgins continues to be a marvelous late-round pickup for JohnWick, putting up 19.35 points per game. On top of the loss, Weekend Warriors had a starter score zero points (Ka'imi Fairbairn).
Along with being the one defense to tally a negative score, the Indianapolis Colts DEF (on Weekend Warriors) represented the only starter in the whole league in the red. De'Von Achane had plenty of chances for JohnWick, but tallied only 38 total yards on 12 touches.
To go along with the fantasy victory, JohnWick was savvy enough to choose winners in real life, as well. Among all of their starters, Josh Jacobs was the only one that played on a losing NFL team in Week 17. Also, with 12 targets this week for Higgins, it means that his targets have now increased in three consecutive games.
For the victors, several players have been heating up in the postseason, most notably Higgins and the Buffalo Bills DEF. During the playoffs, that duo has bettered their season scoring averages by 160% and 73%, respectively. On the other hand, JohnWick has a player trending in the wrong direction. Josh Allen has fallen well beneath his year-to-date average in the postseason by 28%. Despite the loss, Weekend Warriors had a few players performing their best in the playoffs, including Jayden Daniels and Puka Nacua. During the postseason, that combo has averaged 33.10 and 18.25 points, respectively, topping their season-long marks by 55% and 49%. Conversely, the losers had two players who struggled in the playoff spotlight: Fairbairn and Joe Mixon.
